Zero Intrusive Ad Tracking: PlaasTrack does not employ third-party behavioral advertising trackers, cross-site profiling cookies, or invasive commercial data brokers. We utilize only essential tokens and offline browser storage necessary for farm software operation.
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies and browser LocalStorage are small data files stored directly on your computer or mobile device. They allow web applications to remember your session, preserve your offline records when cellular network drops at the kraal, and maintain your user preferences.
2. How PlaasTrack Utilizes Local Storage & Cookies
We use storage technologies exclusively for the following functional purposes:
Essential Session Tokens
Maintains your authenticated session securely so you do not have to re-enter your password repeatedly in the field.
Offline Queue & Cache
Stores calf weights, treatments, and registration passes locally on your phone while away from signal coverage.
User Preferences
Remembers your display preferences, active agricultural units (kg/lbs, Pula), and regional farm districts.
3. Categories of Cookies Used
- Strictly Necessary Storage: Mandatory for the website and app to load, process registrations, and sync records. These cannot be disabled without breaking system functionality.
- Functional Storage: Remembers your registration reference code (e.g.,
BW-PL-0420) so your Pioneer pass displays instantly on subsequent visits. - Security Storage: Detects and prevents cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and abusive automated form submissions.
4. Managing and Clearing Your Storage
You can manage, restrict, or clear stored cookies and site data directly through your web browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Please note that clearing LocalStorage while offline may remove queued field entries before they have had an opportunity to synchronize with the cloud.
